Rephy Is Jesus - A Comprehensive Guide

By Osh »
Hero » Rephy

Rephy is not only the furriest, and best looking Jesus you will ever see. He is also an extremely versatile healer, providing an incredible amount of HPS and magic defense for your team, among various other strong utility. Rephy is an excellent all-rounder priest and can be used in virtually all content in the game. He is also an excellent option for leveling a first team to 80.

Skills:

  S1 – Healing Soul

Heal 4 allies with the lowest HP for X HP for 8 sec. Cannot be dispelled. Upon activation, additionally heals 10% of Max HP.

Skill Book 3 – Increase 50% of MP Recovery per sec.

Healing Soul is what makes Rephy such an excellent healer. When cast, it instantly heals 4 targets for a small amount (10% of max HP) and then continues to tick as a HoT for 8 seconds. The healing amount per-tick with even mediocre gear is substantial. With excellent gear, Rephy’s HPS is any situation is supreme. The fact that this heal cannot be dispelled is icing on the cake, and makes Rephy a top-tier healer in PVP. Even when under the effects of CC, Rephy is still typically healing his allies.

  S2 – Salvation

Removes debuffs from all allies and increases M.DEF by X for 10 sec.

Skill Book 3 – Increase 250 of Debuff Resistance for 25 sec.

Salvation is the cleanse that Rephy is known for. This low-cooldown skill is invaluable throughout the game. It also increases M.DEF for your allies by a substantial amount, making your entire team much more tanky vs. magic damage. In addition, with the 3rd skill book purchased, Salvation also increases debuff resistance for all allies that will be refreshed before it expires, so it virtually amounts to a permanent 250 Debuff Resistance for allies.

  S3 – Soulrush

Inflict X M.DMG over 10 attacks to enemies within range, and slow their ATK Spd by 25%.

Skill Book 3 – Increase 25% of All DMG upon the enemy.

Soulrush is a skill that Rephy players love, and most other players don’t even know exists. So often, Rephy’s AMP and ATK Spd slow is overlooked. It’s important to note that while this skill does have 20 second cooldown, when paired with Rephy’s T5 dark perk, the uptime on this skill will typically be much higher than 60%.

  S4 – Spiritual Tuning

Every 7 sec, the ally with the lowest HP recovers 1 MP and X HP.

Skill Book 3 – Increase 50% of MP Recovery.

Spiritual Tuning is the skill that will save your bacon. So often, whether in PVE or PVP, a teammate looks like they are going to go down, and suddenly get pumped with some HP and 1 MP. This, more often than not, is a game changer. It also adds even more to the wonderful amount of impact Rephy can have, even while he is crowd controlled.

  Unique Weapon: God’s Lamp, Kurulati

Every 20 seconds, the ally with the lowest HP turns invisible for X seconds. The ally becomes immune to any physical damage and HP won’t drop below 1%. MP Recovery increased to 120% per second.

As if Rephy’s HoT and passive weren’t enough, his Unique Weapon also has the potential to save one of your characters in a pinch. So often, spike damage will come in and you will assume that a character is done for, and the UW effect shows up and saves the day. While he doesn’t have the most SPECTACULAR UW in the game, the effect it can have is seriously underrated.

Chapter/Story Mode - 4-Man PVE Content

General Usage:

For general usage, Rephy can mainly be used on auto. His skills will cycle quick enough to provide you with maximum benefits. However, in a more difficult stage, or when trying to surpass new content, it may be necessary to micro Rephy and hold his S2 (cleanse) to counter crowd control.

Transcendence Perks:

T1 Line:

ATK Up – More ATK = more healing.
HP UP – More HP = more survivability.

T2 Line:

Goddess Blessing – Additional Crit Chance for your team. There is obviously some wiggle room here if your dealer already has 100%+ Crit Chance, but for general usage, this is a go-to for Priests.

T3 Line:

Healing Soul[Dark] – This perk has a chance to proc EACH TIME Rephy’s HoT ticks. As if his 10 second CD cleanse wasn’t enough, this skill provides constant cleanses for your team.

T5 Line:

Rephy[Light] – More stats, making Rephy even more of a workhorse.
Rephy[Dark] – Shred for your team to increase damage output, as well as Cooldown Reduction for the entire team.

Arena - PVP

General Usage:

Arena in King’s Raid is a long-term learning investment. There are countless compositions you could encounter, and many different ways to play a hero vs. those compositions. As a general rule (if you don’t know any better) starting out the match by casting Rephy’s S1 is not a bad idea. However, if you are going up against a team that outputs M.DPS burst, opening with S2 for the M.DEF can also be a decent idea. Against wall comps (in which you have no fear of being bursted), opening with S3 can be a good idea to soften the enemy team, burn mana to slow their skill usage, and provide an ATK Spd slow.

Don’t be afraid to constantly cycle Rephy’s heal and his S3 during a match. After initial usage (if you used for the M.DEF), hold Rephy’s S2 to cleanse enemy crowd control.

Transcendence Perks:

T1 Line:

ATK Up – More ATK = more healing.
HP UP – More HP = more survivability.

T2 Line:

Vengeful Curse – This is a go-to perk for priests in PVP. This prevents burst comps, or even a burst character on the enemy team from blowing up Rephy. In the case of vs. Nyx, this perk is extremely effective at slowing his damage output in the first few seconds of the match.

T3 Line:

Healing Soul[Dark] – This perk has a chance to proc EACH TIME Rephy’s HoT ticks. As if his 10 second CD cleanse wasn’t enough, this skill provides constant cleanses for your team.
Salvation[Light] – Being able to use Rephy’s cleanse on-demand in PVP is extremely important. Removing the skill’s mana cost makes it usable at any time, in any situation. While this perk may seem simple, I promise you that it is very, very strong and definitely worth taking for PVP situations.
Soulrush[Light] – This perk adds mana burn into Rephy’s kit, giving him even more versatility. This perk, when used correctly, is extremely impactful and can turn the tides of a tough match. Note: after a vast amount of testing in NA challenger, I found that this perk provided more impact and was more valuable than Soulrush[Dark].

World Boss - Dragon Raids

General Usage:

With a simple perk change, Rephy becomes a top-tier (if not the best) healer in >4 man content. Rephy’s HPS is astounding and his utility becomes even more apparent in a bigger party. Don’t be afraid to constantly cycle Rephy’s heal, and once again, hold his cleanse for countering crowd control. Be sure to take advantage of Soulrush for the ATK Spd reduction, as well as the AMP.

Blessing of Mana – In losing Rephy’s T5 light perk, as well as increasing the cost of his S1 with this build, Blessing of Mana becomes extremely valuable in keeping Rephy in a healthy mana state while cycling his skills.

T3 Line:

Healing Soul[Light] – This perk allows Rephy's S1 to hit the entire raid, effectively turning him into arguably the best >4 man content healer. His potential sustained HPS in a raid/WB setting with this perk is unmatched.

T5 Line:

Rephy[Dark] – Shred for your team to increase damage output, as well as Cooldown Reduction for the entire team.

Gearing

DRAGON SETS:

For general use PVE, a full BD set is preferred. Rephy benefits too much from the mana generation, which allows him to properly cycle his skills.

For arena/PVP, a full ID set is preferred. The added HP allows Rephy to become a tanky monster and withstand backline divers like Epis and Fluss.

STATS:

Whether for PVP or PVE, the base 4 lines you should be looking for on gear should be the following:

ATK
ATK Spd.
Crit
Max HP

As necessary for your usage, playstyle and team, you may also look for a line of CC resist.

RUNES:

UW Runes:

PVE: 1x MP Recovery/Attack, 2x ATK
PVP: 2x MP Recovery/Attack, 1x ATK

Protective Armor:

Max HP

Secondary Gear:

Crit

ARTIFACTS:

Sealed Chain of Ancient God – Good for general usage in PVE and PVP. More valuable with more *s.

Golden Apple of a Goddess – Good for PVP usage, especially when encountering many Epis/Fluss/Tanya users on the ladder. This artifact can help Rephy stay alive long enough to turn the match around.

Pocket Watch of Ancient Civilization – Synergizes well with Rephy’s T5 Dark perk for PVE usage. Not recommended for PVP.

Golden Mask of Ancient King – Good against Epis users in arena. Relies on some RNG to provide benefit, which is not optimal.

Talismans of Resistance – Good for PVP usage, as it provides an additional way for Rephy to avoid being crowd controlled.

Earth Core – All around, good for everyone artifact.
